Designed as an easy-to-play and easy-to-build ecosystem, [Vulcan Forged](https://www.vulcanforged.com/) is a community-based project that promotes the development of world-class blockchain games by supporting developers through its development programs ‘incubation and crowdfunding’.

Vulcan Forged is a one-stop shop for blockchain game enthusiasts where they can access popular games and a vast [NFT marketplace](https://market.vulcanforged.com/) to buy and sell digital assets in-game. The entire ecosystem is powered by its PYR settlement, staking, and utility token. The [ERC20](https://ethereum.org/en/developers/docs/standards/tokens/erc-20/) and Matic/[Polygon](https://polygon.technology/) compatible PYR is a cross-platform currency that can be used in games that are part of the Vulcan Forged ecosystem. Vulcan Forged has grown from a small digital art NFT platform to a multi-dApp platform, game studio, launchpad, and a top 5 volume NFT marketplace. The company also launched its decentralized exchange called the VulcanDex. The NFTs can exist on multiple blockchains. Currently, the main chain used is Vechain. They are moving from a few users to thousands with just under $3m in NFT trading volume. Their AAA fantasy decentralized universe ([metaverse](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metaverse)) [VulcanVerse](https://vv.vulcanforged.com/), backed by fighting-fantasy authors [Jamie Thomson](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamie_Thomson_%28author%29), [Dave Morris](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Morris_%28writer%29), and award-winning studios, sold out in days and entered alpha gameplay.

Vulcan Forged prides itself on removing gas and crypto for game developers using their platform and offers support to any third party with a simple idea to turn it into reality. Community members have made their games with ground-up backing, including Coddle Pets, Block Babies, and GeoCats. As of today, many more gaming projects started to use the Vulcan Forged ecosystem.<br>
