# Vulcan Forged going cross-chain with Matic.

Vulcan Forged partnering with Matic allows for community expansion by bridging the NFT ecosystem to the Erc-20 network while virtually eliminating gas fees thanks to Matic's fee delegation. \

The *UK, January 20th, 2021* — Vulcan Forged and Matic have confirmed a cross-chain partnership to launch their ecosystem-wide token PYR. Their [recent partnership with Arkane](https://arkane.network/blog/vulcan-forged-partners-with-arkane) has finally made this possible. PYR will utilize the number one Layer 2 solution that fixes Ethereum’s scalability issue via an adapted version of Plasma with PoS-based side chains. PYR will be used in fee settlement, staking, defi game launchpads, play-to-earn benefits, gaming platform pools, and discounted marketplace usage.\
All NFT's will remain on the Vechain network and will continue to be minted on Vechain, which means continued VTHO gas burn.

## Incentives for Bridging to Matic <a href="#c19b" id="c19b"></a>

With over ten games and dApps in the Vulcan Forged ecosystem, including the sold-out VulcanVerse, [Berserk](https://twitter.com/Berserk_Game), and a flourishing marketplace, the time is ripe to launch an independent economy and governance token. Vulcan has chosen Matic as it’s not only the premium Layer 2 solution but offers next to nothing transaction fees, fee delegation, and quicker settlement times. Matic has also established itself as a welcoming and supportive host to many big-name blockchain games and dApps with constant support to its builders.

> “We’ve been talking with Matic for a few months. Since day 1, they’ve offered support, advice and helped us shape our ecosystem economy. “ says CEO Jamie Thomson. “We have been wanting to move cross-chain for a while and turned down offers from other blockchains but due to Matic’s rising dApp popularity, fee delegation, technology prowess, community and of course support, they are without doubt the perfect match.”

## About Matic Network <a href="#d95b" id="d95b"></a>

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.vulcanforged.com/vulcanforged/why-is-vulcan-forged-going-cross-chain-with-matic-and-will-there-still-be-vtho-burn.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
